What Carbery is

Carbery shows live captions of nearby speech so a hard-of-hearing person can follow face-to-face conversation. It is provided by TaoSquare Group Limited, as is.

Free and Plus

Carbery's core is free to use. Some features carry allowances or session limits on the free tier; the current limits are always shown inside the app. Carbery Plus removes those limits and is sold as a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is handled by the store you buy through — the App Store, Google Play, or Stripe on the web — under that store's own terms, including its refund process. Prices shown before the store releases are launch pricing and may change.

What Carbery is not

Carbery is not a medical device, a hearing test, or a substitute for professional hearing care. Speech recognition makes mistakes: captions can be wrong, incomplete, or late. Don't rely on Carbery where a misheard word could cause harm — medical instructions, legal matters, emergencies, or anything safety-critical.

Fair use

Use Carbery to help people follow conversations they are part of. Recording or captioning people without their knowledge may be illegal where you live; that responsibility is yours.

The service

Optional features that use our server (suggested replies, the warmer voice) may change, degrade, or be withdrawn at any time. To the maximum extent the law allows, TaoSquare Group Limited accepts no liability for losses arising from use of Carbery.
